The name of the restaurant is "Cheers!" in Irish.

The owner, Mr. Ito, left his longtime job at a publishing company to study in Ireland. At that time, he was fascinated by pubs and visited more than 120 restaurants. After returning to Japan, he decided to open a pub. He modeled his favorite Dublin store on it and in June 1996, the first Irish Bar was established in Fukuoka on Akasaka Keyakidori.

Rugby, local Hawks and, of course, soccer are broadcast in the store. The most exciting match so far has been between Germany and Ireland, which won a great match in the 2002 World Cup Korea-Japan.

It was an episode unique to the owner who loves Ireland saying "It was more exciting than the Japan game.".

When I was looking for a place to see the Kirin Cup, I found an Irish pub with a TV! Naturally, I thought they were playing soccer, but what was playing was the Pacific Nations.

The owner says, "Rugby rather than soccer!". There are many people who are involved in rugby in the store, and it is said that they mainly broadcast the game to liven up rugby in Kyushu. I'm also a rugby freak. On this day, I forgot about Osim Japan and watched the heated game on the southern island with Guinness in my hand.

The alcohol and atmosphere are Irish.

We have about 20 Irish whiskies, including Jemson and Till Connell, as well as cocktails with a base of gin and Guinness from Baileys and Ireland. Of course, the most popular one is the raw Guinness (800 yen/1 pint). I wouldn't be Irish without it.
