Friendly atmosphere is perfect for pub debut

An hour south of London by train will take you to Southampton, the port city where the famous Titanic sails.

Downtown? Or rather, when you enter the main street, there are many restaurants and shops, and this restaurant is located in the center. The interior, which was renovated in April 2006, has bright lights, high ceilings and a slightly different atmosphere from traditional pubs.

There are not only local regulars, but also families, student groups, and a wide range of generations, so it should be easy for us Japanese to visit.

Let's go out for Sunday lunch!

After walking around the town on Sunday afternoon, we arrived at the pub. It is a 5 minute walk from the shopping mall, and perhaps because of its good location, the store is crowded with families with shopping bags. I secured a table in front of the screen in the restaurant with more than 200 seats.

I immediately ordered food at the counter just to have a meal, and they gave me a number ticket and I waited at the table for 20 minutes. When I started feeling "You're late.", they brought me fried crispy shrimp. It goes well with the tartar sauce on the juicy shrimp.

Irish cider, which is popular these days

Here's to a reunion with my friend, chef George, who came in for a break after lunch. As you can see in the photo, this is the Irish Cider "MAGNERS" that is rapidly gaining popularity these days. It is almost the same as a ciddle that you can enjoy the sourness and sweetness of apples, but it is the British way to pour it into a glass with ice.
