Herres de la Frontera is a town in southwestern Spain that is famous as the origin of sherry. This town is a tourist spot with many bodega (brewery). Located just a few steps from the station, it is a typical Spanish bar that is crowded all day as a social gathering place for local residents.
The Liga Espanyola match is also broadcasted if it is broadcasted by a commercial broadcasting station. The tapas, which has an appealing home-style flavor from Jerez, has been commended by the Autonomous Region of Andalusia for its reasonable price of 1.5 euros.
Aunt Pepa, who is also the name of the restaurant, is busy working in the kitchen. She's quite a cheerful woman, but she talks to me in a harsh dialect, so please be careful (lol).
A friend of mine from Osaka, who was on a trip, invited me, saying, "I want to drink sherry at "home"". From Cadiz where I was staying, I was swayed by train for about an hour to Jerez. I walked into the nearest store from the station, keeping up with my excited friend.
Then, of course the typical sherry "Tio Pepe", and the tapas that goes with drinks were all superb. I also got along well with a regular American artist and had a good afternoon. A total of 10 euros for round trip transportation and food and drink. It takes about 3 hours. "You can enjoy alcohol like coffee." - This is Spain!

The recommended tapas is Tortilla de Camarones. In other words, "Shrimp omelet". Although it is an omelet, it is like a crunchy chijimi with a small shrimp like a sakura shrimp. It is simple yet the saltiness is exquisite! It goes well with alcohol. As might be expected, the local people have something to recommend.

There is also a spacious restaurant space with tables. Sometimes I sit on a chair in Balspace. Aunt Pepa, my old friend's aunt by chance! lol
