I sneaked into a celebrity restaurant in Japan's opponent Cameroon!

Cameroon is set to face Japan in the 2010 World Cup. Located in the capital city of Yaoundé, the restaurant is crowded with local celebrities and foreign customers. On our way to Cameroon, we met a local newspaper reporter who happened to be at an airport. He was very interested in our "world-wide trip" and invited us to this exclusive restaurant.

At night, the street lights are reduced, and this restaurant seems to pop up in the dark, but later I heard that it is located in a relatively gorgeous area with nightclubs.

Going down the stairs into the shop, there was a bar counter and billiard table, and the side door was the entrance to the casino area where slot machines and other things were located.

Professional athletes also appear!!!

After passing through the bar area near the entrance, there is a restaurant zone that is divided into three areas. There were several LCD flat TVs and screens, and sports news was broadcast.

We are seated in the central restaurant zone, and an elderly waiter, dressed in a clean tuxedo, comes to pick up our order. In Cameroon, where French is the mother tongue, there are many shops where English is difficult to understand, but as might be expected of a restaurant favored by celebrities, the waiter responded in English with a beautiful pronunciation.

The newspaper reporter who invited us, being in charge of sports, seemed to know many former professional athletes who were coming one after another and introduced us to several celebrities. I have a son who is a professional tennis player Yannick Noah, and Zacharie Noah, a former star player of Cameroonian football, visited the shop, so it was a good memory that we greeted and shook hands right away.

Partly because it is a celebrity high class restaurant, there are not many dishes on the menu that are local home cooking of Cameroon. However, we were overwhelmed by the French menu and threw all our orders to a friend who was a local newspaper reporter.

Shortly after, they came to the table with tomato salad, Italian pizza, and sauteed white fish. Among them, the fish sauteed as the main dish is superb. For 12 minutes, we enjoyed the food which was so delicious that we were a little tired of Cameroon's food.
