The owner, Itabashi (Issan), is a former soccer player (enjoy playing with one's home team after retirement) who has devoted himself exclusively to the Yomiuri since he knocked on the door of the prestigious Yomiuri Soccer Club's junior youth team when he was in the 1st grade of elementary school.

Because of this relationship, many of the customers are related to Verdy. It opened in September 2004. He had wanted to run a store since he was an active player, and he realized his dream. Since he trained at the restaurant "drunken bed" run by his senior Tetsuya Totsuka, his handling of skewers as well as his footwork was superb.

It was a satisfying night that there were a lot of regular customers who came for a soccer talk with Itakan, delicious food and sake. "If you want to work in a shop like this, please feel free to call us!" by Issan

After watching the match between F.C. Tokyo and Chiba at Ajinomoto Stadium, I went to the restaurant with my friend. When I opened the door, the restaurant with 34 seats (Counter 12, lift 18, table 4) was already full, but they somehow prepared 2 seats at the counter.

Let's toast with draft beer (Medium/550 Yen) first! The restaurant was full, and the staff of five were busy cooking, serving customers and answering phone calls. We talked to him after we had settled down, but we were also drunk, so it was not an interview but a discussion about Japan's national soccer team (laughs).
