Irish pub in Accra, Ghana

The Osh (OSU) district in central Accra, the capital of Ghana. According to the Japanese people living in the area, it prospered as "Shibuya in Ghana". The Ryans Irish Pub is located along Troas street, south of the main street of Oxford.

I entered the restaurant after 7 PM on a weekday, but most of the seats were already occupied. 80% of the customers are white, and the restaurant has a celebrity feel.

According to the store's staff, they usually show rugby and soccer games that are popular with Irish people, but since it was a weekday Thursday, there was a live broadcast of golf.

After being seated, I ordered a beer. Gulder is a popular brand among Ghanaians. In Africa, where the temperature rises above 30 degrees Celsius every day, chilled beer is a treat. When I went to the counter, there were many kinds of liqueurs and I think I can enjoy a wide variety of cocktails.

I talked to the manager of the restaurant, and he told me that they are open during the day, and it is crowded with businessmen especially during lunch hours on weekdays. In that case, I thought the food was very delicious, so I immediately opened the menu and ordered a dish.

Roast chicken was served first. It tastes a little strong and goes well with beer. After that, French fries and green salad were lined up on the table in that order, which made me realize that Africa doesn't really care about the order of the dishes. Finally, Italian pizza is served. The thick ingredients like quiche were characteristic and it was superb.

The total is 87 cedis (Approx. ¥5400) for 3 people, 1800 yen per person. The dinner was too expensive for locals, but it was reasonable for tourists.
